Section 45-41-80.02 Circuit judgeship number 3 - Qualifications, powers, duties; compensation. (a) The judge filling judgeship number 3 shall take the same oath of office, shall have the jurisdiction, power, rights, and authority, and shall possess all of the qualifications, perform all of the duties, and be subject to all of the responsibilities, obligations, and penalties as other circuit court judges may have, exercise, perform, and be subject to. (a) Sheriffs of the several counties in this state shall be compensated for their services by an annual salary payable in equal installments out of the county treasury as the salaries of other county employees are paid.
