Notwithstanding Section 40-12-10 and any other general or local law of this state, no person shall be appointed to the position of county license inspector of or for Lawrence County. The position of county license inspector in the county is abolished and the powers, duties, and functions of the office shall be vested in and performed by the county commission of the county.
