Section 45-41-82 Service of papers and documents - Civil or quasi-civil actions. (a) In Lee County, in addition to all other fees or costs levied, there shall be taxed as costs the sum of twenty dollars ($20), for the service of any papers or documents by the sheriff or any deputy sheriff arising out of any civil or quasi-civil proceeding in any court in Lee County, whether the proceeding is filed in or arising in any of the courts, on appeal, certiorari, or otherwise to the district court or the circuit court. The sum shall be collected in each court in which any service of any papers or documents is made by the sheriff. (a) In addition to all other fees now payable, the Board of Health shall establish, by rule, a fee for EMSP and air or ground provider service licenses. Within 60 days from May 19, 1992, the Workers' Compensation Medical Services Board shall submit to the Governor an initial schedule of maximum fees for medical services covered by this article, which schedule shall become effective immediately upon submission to the Governor.
