Section 45-40-231 Clerk. The Sheriff of Lawrence County is hereby authorized to employ
a clerk to perform the clerical duties of the sheriff's office. Such clerk shall receive a
monthly salary of not less then four hundred seventy-five dollars ($475) nor more than eight
hundred dollars ($800), the exact amount to be determined by the County Commission of Lawrence
County, to be paid from the public highway and traffic fund of the county treasury or such

Section 45-47-230 Expense allowances. (a) The County Commission of Marion County is
authorized and directed to pay the chief deputy sheriff, each deputy sheriff, and the sheriff's
clerk an additional expense allowance of one hundred dollars ($100) per month payable from
the general fund of the county. The expense allowance shall be in addition to all compensation
or allowances heretofore payable to each such officer. (b) The Sheriff of Marion County shall
be entitled to receive an expense allowance in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) per
month and each deputy sheriff of Marion County shall be entitled to receive an expense allowance

Section 45-39-232 Personnel; uniforms; vacation and sick leave. (a)(1) In lieu of the
deputies and assistants heretofore authorized by law the Sheriff of Lauderdale County shall

Section 45-49-151.17 Disposition of funds. (a) All fees, commissions, taxes, and other
monies, including fines and forfeitures, received under this subpart shall be paid to the
racing commission and shall be remitted by it to the county treasurer for deposit in the county
treasury to the account of the Mobile County Racing Commission as directed by the racing commission.

Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to

or forged instruments. (a) The Covington County Commission shall reimburse the offices of
judge of probate, revenue commissioner, and sheriff from the general fund in the amount of

Section 45-26-60 Compensation. (a)(1) The Coroner of Elmore County shall receive a total
