Section 45-29-82.70 Pretrial diversion program fund. The district attorney shall establish a pretrial diversion program fund. All fees paid by offenders pursuant to this subpart to the district attorney shall be placed into the pretrial diversion program fund. The district attorney shall disburse 20 percent of the funds to the Twenty-fourth Judicial Circuit Judicial Administration Fund; the remainder of the funds shall be used to pay costs associated with the administration of the pretrial diversion program or for other law enforcement purposes. Costs associated with program administration shall include, but shall not be limited to, salaries, rent, vehicles, uniforms, professional or business attire, telephones, postage, office supplies and equipment, training and travel services, service contracts, and professional services. Section 45-9-82.27 Costs and fees. (a) An applicant may be assessed a fee when the applicant is approved for the program. The amount of the assessment for participation in the program shall be in addition to any court costs and assessments for victims or drug, alcohol, or anger management treatment required by law, and are in addition to costs of supervision, treatment, and restitution for which the person may be responsible. Pretrial diversion program fees as established by this subpart may be waived or reduced for just cause at the discretion of the district attorney. A schedule of payments for any of these fees may be established by the district attorney. Section 13A-6-181 Fines; counseling or educational training programs; pretrial diversion program. (a)(1) Notwithstanding any other fines, restitution, court costs, or docket fees, upon conviction for the offense of promoting prostitution under Division 1 of Article 3 of Chapter 12, or a violation of subsection (b) or (d) of Section 13A-12-121, a mandatory fine of five hundred dollars ($500) shall be assessed.
