Section 11-65-36 Application of net commission revenues. All commission horse wagering fees, commission greyhound wagering fees, and other fees, commissions, and moneys, including fines and forfeitures, to which a commission shall be entitled under the provisions of this chapter shall be paid to the treasurer of such commission and shall be deposited by said treasurer to the account of such commission. (a) Any payments coming into the treasury of Cullman County that are derived, directly or indirectly, from payments by the Tennessee Valley Authority in lieu of the payment of ad valorem taxes shall be placed in a separate fund to be known as the "TVA Payments Fund." Section 45-46-242.26 Charge for collection; disposition of funds. The department, or other entity, shall charge Marengo County for collecting the tax levied under this subpart in an amount or percentage of total collections as may be agreed upon by the commissioner, or other entity, and the Marengo County Commission. The charge shall not exceed five percent of the total amount of the tax collected in the county. The charge may be deducted each month from the gross revenues from the tax before certification of the amount of the proceeds due Marengo County for that month.
