Section 12-19-3 Phasing of state assumption of financial responsibility for Unified Judicial System. The state assumption of financial responsibility for the Unified Judicial System shall be phased over three fiscal years as follows: (1) The state shall be responsible for the following beginning in the 1975-76 fiscal year: a. Salaries and expenses of the Supreme Court, the Court of Criminal Appeals and the Court of Civil Appeals; b. Salaries and expenses of the Judicial Inquiry Commission, the Court of the Judiciary, the Judicial Compensation Commission, the Permanent Study Commission on Alabama's Judicial System and the Judicial Conference; c. (a) A juvenile sex offender subject to lifetime registration pursuant to Section 15-20A-28 may file a petition requesting the sentencing juvenile court to enter an order relieving the juvenile sex offender of the requirements pursuant to this chapter 25 years after the juvenile sex offender is released from the custody of the Department of Youth Services or sentenced, if the juvenile sex offender was placed on probation, for the sex offense requiring registration pursuant to this chapter.
