Section 45-39-83 Compensation. (a) In addition to all compensation heretofore provided by law,
each member of the Jury Commission of Lauderdale County, including the clerk of the commission,
shall be paid five dollars ($5) per day for the time actually engaged in the discharge of
his or her duties as such member, to be paid out of the county treasury, upon the warrant
of the judge of probate of the county. Such warrants shall be issued by the judge of probate
upon evidence satisfactory to him or her that service has been rendered, but the total compensation
of each member, from the state and county, shall not exceed one thousand five hundred dollars
($1,500) for any one year of his or her term. (b) The provisions of this section are cumulative
and shall not be construed to repeal or supersede any laws not directly inconsistent herewith.

an advisory committee to be known as the Cahawba Advisory Committee, composed of 16 members,
