Section 45-39-81 Public law library; Lauderdale County Law Library Fund. (a) The governing
body of Lauderdale County, Alabama, by whatever named called, is hereby authorized to establish
and maintain a public law library in the county, and to accomplish that purpose, may from
time to time, expend such public funds of the county, as are not required by law to be expended
for any other purpose or purposes, to provide suitable housing quarters, furniture, fixtures,
and equipment therefor, to keep the same in a good state of maintenance and repair, and, from
time to time, to enlarge, expand, and improve the library, facilities, and equipment, and
from time to time, to provide such books, reports, and periodicals for the library as are
not provided therefor out of the special fund created by this section or otherwise, and to
pay the salaries of an assistant librarian and such other personnel as may be necessary and

Section 45-40-120 Personnel board and system; chief deputy and chief clerk or sheriff. (a)(1)
There is created and established a three member personnel board for Lawrence County, Alabama,
with the members to be appointed as follows: a. One member shall be appointed by the state

Section 45-45-161 Distribution of payments. (a)(1) Pursuant to the authority granted by Section
40-28-2, Madison County's share of payments made by the Tennessee Valley Authority to the
state in lieu of ad valorem taxes shall be distributed in the following manner: (1) Up to
one percent of such payments each year shall be used to establish, equip, and maintain a legislative

Section 45-48-121.03 Personnel board created; composition. (a) There is hereby created the
Personnel Board of Marshall County, which shall be composed of five members. One member shall
be appointed by the county commission, three members shall be appointed by the Marshall County
Legislative Delegation, and one shall be elected by the county employees who will be subject
to this part. All appointments to the board shall be made within 30 days. One of the members
originally so appointed shall serve for a term of two years, one for a term of three years,
