Section 45-48-70.02 Commission chair. The Chair of the Commission on Government and Finance of Marshall County shall serve as Chair of the Marshall County Commission and shall hold office until the first Monday after the second Tuesday in January 1979, and until his or her successor is elected and qualified, and shall receive for his or her services, payable out of the county treasury, the sum of six thousand six hundred dollars ($6,600) per year and an additional three thousand dollars ($3,000) per year for expenses. (a) Effective until the end of the term of the members of the county commission expiring in November 2022, the county commission of Cullman County shall be composed of three members who shall be nominated and elected by the qualified electors of the county at large.
