Section 16-22-13.4 Fiscal year 2006-2007 adjustments. (a) PAY INCREASES, FY 2006-07. The State
Budget Officer shall allocate to the State Board of Education, the Board of Trustees of the
Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, the Board of Youth Services School District, the Board
of Directors of the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and the Board of Trustees of the Alabama
School of Mathematics and Science for disbursement to the employees thereof funds based on
the criteria established in this section. It is not the intent of this section to make appropriations,
but the appropriations required by this section shall be made in the annual budget act for
the public schools and colleges for the designated fiscal years. (1) Certificated personnel

Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and
from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division
the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined
in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports
it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. (2) The gross proceeds of the sale, or sales,
of fertilizer when used for agricultural purposes. The word "fertilizer" shall not
be construed to include cottonseed meal, when not in combination with other materials. (3)

Section 38-15-4 Registration of certain youth residential institutions or organizations; staff
training plans; rights of children; licensing and inspection of food preparation areas; access
by law enforcement agencies. (a) Commencing on January 1, 2018, the department shall register
any religious, faith-based, or church nonprofit, other nonprofit, or for profit affiliated
youth residential facility, youth social rehabilitation facility, community treatment facility
for youths, youth transitional care facility, long term youth residential facility, private
alternative boarding school, private alternative outdoor program, and any organization entrusted
with the residential care of children in any organizational form or combination defined by
this section, whenever children are housed at the facility or location of the program for

Section 45-43-83.20 Chief clerk; clerks. (a) The county governing body of Lowndes County is
hereby authorized to employ one person as a chief clerk, who shall be appointed by the judge
of probate, to perform clerical services for the judge of probate in his or her office. The
county governing body is authorized and directed to pay the chief clerk the sum of not more
than thirteen hundred dollars ($1,300) per month. Such sum shall be payable out of the funds

Section 45-46-230 Deputies; clerical staff and jail personnel. (a) The composition of the Sheriff's
Department of Marengo County shall include no less than five deputies and one chief deputy;
and any increase in deputy personnel shall be approved by the Marengo County Commission. (b)(1)
The deputies shall receive the same compensation as a trooper with the Alabama State Law Enforcement
Agency and the compensation shall be adjusted on the anniversary date of the deputies' employment
to include any raises, including cost-of-living raises that state troopers receive after or

Coroner of Crenshaw County shall receive an expense allowance in the amount of one thousand

allowance from the county general fund in the amount of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) monthly,
