Section 45-39-101.02 Salary; travel expense. The salary of the county superintendent of education shall be fixed by the County Board of Education of Lauderdale County at not less than three thousand six hundred dollars ($3,600) per annum, which salary shall be paid in the same way and manner as now provided under the general laws of the state for the payment of county superintendents of education in the several counties of the state. And the county board of education is also authorized to pay reasonable travel expense as may be incurred by the county superintendent in the exercise of his or her official duties.
