Section 11-99-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter: (1) BLIGHTED OR ECONOMICALLY DISTRESSED AREA: a. An area in which the structures, buildings, or improvements, by reason of dilapidation, deterioration, age, or obsolescence, inadequate provision for ventilation, light, air, sanitation, or open spaces, high density of population and overcrowding, or the existence of conditions which endanger life or property by fire and other causes, or any combination of such factors, are conducive to ill health, transmission of disease, infant mortality, juvenile delinquency, or crime, and are detrimental to the public health, safety, morals, or welfare, or b. Section 41-23-85 Functions of board and division. (a) The board shall exercise authority with respect to all matters pertaining to the acceptance and adoption, and implementation of the Alabama Energy and Residential Codes by the State of Alabama. Section 9-16-89 Performance bonds and bond releases. (a) After a surface coal mining and reclamation permit application has been approved but before such a permit is issued, the applicant shall file with the regulatory authority, on a form prescribed and furnished by the regulatory authority, a bond for performance payable to the state and conditioned upon faithful performance of all the requirements of this article and the permit.
