Section 11-99B-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the governing body of any county or municipality or public corporation in accordance with the provisions of Section 11-99B-3. (2) AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION. A resolution, adopted by a governing body in accordance with the provisions of Section 11-99B-3, that authorizes the incorporation of a district. (3) AUTHORIZING SUBDIVISION. Any county or municipality or public corporation the governing body of which shall have adopted an authorizing resolution. (4) BOARD. The board of directors of a district. (5) BONDS. Bonds, notes, and certificates representing an obligation to pay money. (6) COUNTY. Any county in the state. (7) DIRECTOR. Section 32-5A-171 Maximum limits. Except when a special hazard exists that requires lower speed for compliance with Section 32-5A-170, the limits hereinafter specified or established as hereinafter authorized shall be maximum lawful speeds, and no person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of the maximum limits. Section 33-10-24 Issuance of bonds. The commission is granted the power to incur debt and issue bonds by any of the means authorized by the Constitution and laws of the State of Alabama. Any revenue-producing wharf, dock, warehouse, elevator, industrial facility or other structure owned by or to be acquired by the commission from proceeds of bonds issued by it is hereby declared to be a revenue-producing public utility as that term is used and defined by the Constitution and laws of the state in connection with the issuance of revenue bonds of political subdivisions of the state. (a) The Geneva County Board of Education shall consist of five members, each elected from a separate single-member district, nominated and elected by the qualified electors of the district.
