Section 22-21-20 Definitions. For the purpose of this article, the following terms shall have
the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) HOSPITALS. General and specialized
hospitals, including ancillary services; independent clinical laboratories; rehabilitation
centers; ambulatory surgical treatment facilities for patients not requiring hospitalization;
end stage renal disease treatment and transplant centers, including free-standing hemodialysis
units; abortion or reproductive health centers; hospices; health maintenance organizations;
and other related health care institutions when such institution is primarily engaged in offering
to the public generally, facilities and services for the diagnosis and/or treatment of injury,

Section 37-13-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, unless the context plainly indicates
otherwise, the present tense shall include the future tense, the singular shall include the
plural, the plural shall include the singular and the following words and phrases shall have
the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section. (1) ADDITIONAL RAIL SERVICE AREA.

Section 45-37A-54.35 Leases. (a) The authority may lease the facilities of the district or
any portion thereof and provide for the payment of the consideration through the appropriation
of funds or otherwise. (b) The obligations of the lessee or lessees under any lease shall
constitute a charge against the revenues of the lessee or lessees to the extent and in the
manner agreed upon by the parties. (c) In the event the State of Alabama or any of its various

Section 35-15-30 Removal of guest from recreational vehicle park for certain conduct. (a) As
used in this section, the term recreational vehicle park means a place set aside and offered
by a person, for direct or indirect remuneration of the owner, lessor, or operator of the
place, for the parking, accommodation, or rental of five or more recreational vehicles or
tents. The term includes buildings and sites set aside for group camping and similar recreational
facilities. (b) The operator of a recreational vehicle park may request a guest of the park
who, while on the premises of the park, illegally possesses or deals in a controlled substance,
as defined in Section 20-2-2; who disturbs the peace and comfort of other persons; or who

together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate

Section 37-4-22 Contract rates. (a) Rates and service regulations may be established by contract
between a municipality and utility for a specified term, not exceeding 30 years, but only
by and with the approval of the commission to be expressed by its order. Utilities may contract

Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby approved,
adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article I. Purposes.
