Section 11-43B-9 Statement of receipts and expenses; audit of books and accounts; publication
of audit; submission of audit to mayor. The mayor shall, from time to time, prepare a detailed
statement of all receipts and expenses of the city. At the end of each fiscal year the council
shall cause the books and accounts of the city to be audited by a reputable, disinterested
certified public accountant. The same accountant shall not conduct the audit for more than
three consecutive fiscal years. A true summary of the annual audit report shall be published
once in a newspaper of general circulation in the city. The audit report shall be submitted
by the mayor to the council at its first meeting after the completion of such report. (Acts

Section 11-48-7 Publication of ordinance or resolution; notice to certain property owners of
ordinance or resolution. Said ordinance or resolution must be published once a week for two
consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in said city or town, and, if no newspaper is
published therein, it may be published either in a newspaper of general circulation in said
municipality or by posting for two weeks in three public places in such city or town. A copy
of said ordinance or resolution shall also be sent, by registered or certified mail, postage
prepaid, to the persons last assessed for city or town taxation, the property of whom may

Section 11-54B-57 Annual reports and audits. (a) Within 90 days after the close of each fiscal
year, the district management corporation shall make an annual report of its activities for
the preceding fiscal year to the governing body of the municipality. (1) Each annual report
shall include, at a minimum: a. A financial statement for the preceding year, including a
balance sheet, statement of income and loss, and such other information as is reasonably necessary

Section 11-99A-2 Definitions. In this chapter the following words shall have the following
meanings: (1) APPOINTING GOVERNMENT. The municipality or county that approves the creation

to Madison County residents the aforementioned services only when such road related services
and road building materials are not available to them at a reasonable cost from private enterprise.

Section 11-43A-24 Regular public meetings of council; adjourned, called, special, or other
meetings; quorum; when vote of majority of quorum sufficient; when vote of majority of council
required; procedure; record of proceedings; journal; unanimous consent for passage of certain

Section 11-44B-41 Definitions. As used in this article, unless the context indicates otherwise,
the following words, terms, and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed to them: (1) APPOINTING
