Section 45-37A-51.222 Participants vesting. (a) (1) All participants who are participants before July 1, 2017, shall vest at five years of credited service. Section 45-37-123.83 Forfeitures, donations, and other similar contributions. The pension board and county are authorized to contribute to the trust fund any monies received in the form of donations, gifts, appropriations, bequests, or otherwise, or derived therefrom. Additionally, any member or beneficiary who fails to make timely application for the amount of his or her employee contributions pursuant to Section 45-37-123.104 shall be deemed to have forfeited and donated such employee contributions to the trust fund. (a) As used in this section, the term health reimbursement arrangement or HRA means a plan qualifying as a health reimbursement arrangement as that term is defined under IRS Notice 2002-45 and a medical reimbursement plan under Sections 105 and 106 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
