Section 16-25-13.3 Purchase of credit for prior service in particular nursing program at Walker College. (a) Any active and contributing member of the Teachers' Retirement System may claim and purchase credit in the system not to exceed seven years for prior service as a director of nursing in a nursing program at Walker College between January 1, 1981, and December 31, 1987, while the program was conducted jointly at the time between Walker College and Walker State Technical College. The certification of prior service claimed under this section shall conform to applicable administrative rules and procedures of the Teachers' Retirement System. Members shall receive credit for the prior service when they remit to the system the contributions required by subsection (b).
