Section 32-5A-80 Driving on right side of roadway; exceptions. (a) Upon all roadways of sufficient width, a vehicle shall be driven upon the right half of the roadway, except under any of the following conditions: (1) When overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction under the rules governing such movement. (2) When an obstruction exists making it necessary to drive to the left of the center of the highway; provided, any person doing so shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles traveling in the proper direction upon the unobstructed portion of the highway within such distance as to constitute an immediate hazard. Section 45-23-82.07 Costs and fees. (a) An applicant may be assessed a fee when the applicant is approved for the program. The amount of the assessment for participation in the program shall be in addition to any court costs and assessments for victims of drug, alcohol, or anger management treatment required by law, and are in addition to costs of supervision, treatment, and restitution for which the person may be responsible. An applicant may not be denied access into the pretrial diversion program based solely on his or her inability to pay. Pretrial diversion program fees as established by this part may be waived or reduced for just cause, including indigency of the applicant, at the discretion of the district attorney. (a) In Calhoun County, all motor vehicle wreckers shall be placed upon a rotation system to be devised by the Alabama State Department of Public Safety to be used in calling wreckers to the scene of motor vehicle wrecks or where a motor vehicle is disabled.
