Section 45-37A-53 Abatement of weeds. (a) All weeds growing upon private property within municipalities of the state having a population of 300,000 inhabitants or more, according to the last or any subsequent federal census, which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature or attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or which are otherwise noxious or dangerous, may be declared to be a public nuisance by the governing body of any such municipality, and thereafter abated as in this section provided. (b) Whenever any such weeds are growing upon any private property, the governing body of any such municipality may, by resolution, declare the same to be a public nuisance. The resolution shall refer to the street by the name under which it is commonly known, and describe the property upon which the nuisance exists by giving a legal description thereof; and no other description of the property shall be required. Section 45-8-71.01 Development or disposal of Fort McClellan property. (a) Calhoun County, Alabama, may take title as a result of conveyance from the federal government to any property within the current boundaries of Fort McClellan in Calhoun County, Alabama, for purposes of developing or redeveloping and disposal of the property according to plans and policies established by the Fort McClellan Development Commission provided for in Act 97-274 of the 1997 Regular Session and hereinafter referred to as the FMDC. Section 45-8A-21 Anniston City Board of Education. (a) A school board as established by the City of Anniston, Alabama, shall be called "The Anniston City Board of Education." The board shall be composed of one member being elected from each of the wards in the city as defined in this section by a majority of the qualified electors voting who reside in each of the wards, and one member elected citywide. Section 45-49A-62.02 Abatement and removal of inoperable motor vehicles from private property as public nuisances. (a) For purposes of this section, the term inoperable motor vehicle shall mean any motor vehicle, trailer, recreational vehicle, camper, or semi-trailer that has remained on private property and in view of the general public for 30 days or any greater period fixed by the municipality and is inoperable in that one or more of its major mechanical components including, but not limited to, engine, transmission, drive train, or wheels, are missing or are not functional, or the vehicle otherwise constitutes a nuisance.
