Section 45-49A-63 Definitions. As used in this part, the following words and terms shall have meanings as follows: (1) ANNUITY STARTING DATE. The first day for which a benefit is payable as an annuity or any other form under Section 45-49A-63.80. (2) BENEFICIARY. Section 16-6D-8 Tax credits; Failing Schools Income Tax Credit Account. (a) To provide educational flexibility and state accountability for students in failing schools: (1) For tax years beginning on and after January 1, 2013, an Alabama income tax credit is made available to the parent of a student enrolled in or assigned to attend a failing school to help offset the cost of transferring the student to a nonfailing public school or nonpublic school of the parent's choice. Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability, the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68, but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average weekly earnings per week.
