Section 45-2-61.04 Postmortem examination and autopsies. When the Baldwin County Coroner determines a death under investigation is one described in Section 45-2-61.03, the coroner may, and upon request, shall be assisted by a state medical examiner in the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, as necessary, to help determine the cause and manner of death or to provide other information to the coroner or investigating law enforcement agency. Section 26-16-96 Local child death review teams. (a) There are hereby created local child death review teams. (b) Each county of the state shall be included in a local multidisciplinary, multiagency child death review team's jurisdiction. The district attorney shall initiate the establishment of local teams by convening a meeting of potential team members within 60 days of September 11, 1997.
