Section 45-37-161 Publication of compensation information. All cities and towns in Jefferson County shall on the 1st day of April of each year cause to be published in a daily or weekly newspaper, published in Jefferson County, a list of all persons whose compensation or any part thereof, is paid out of the treasury of the city or town together with the amount thereof, and the expense of the publication shall be paid by the county government, city or town. Violation of the terms of this section shall subject the city or town official or officials guilty of failing to publish the statement required to impeachment.
