Section 45-36-241.20 County revenue commissioner. (a) After September 30, 1985, there shall be a county revenue commissioner in Jackson County. A commissioner shall be elected at the general election in 1984 and at the general election every six years thereafter, who shall serve for a term of six years beginning on the first day of October next after his or her election, and until his or her successor is elected and has qualified. (a) Pursuant to subsection (f) of Amendment 373 to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, now appearing as Section 217 of the Official Recompilation of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended, the city governing body of the City of Midfield in Jefferson County may levy, in addition to any other tax, an ad valorem tax in the amount of 14 mills on each dollar of taxable property in the city.
