Section 16-25-21 Method of financing. Effective October 1, 1997, all the assets of the retirement
system shall be credited according to the purpose for which they are held among three funds,
namely: The Annuity Savings Fund, the Pension Accumulation Fund, and the Expense Fund. The
operation of the former Pension Reserve Fund and the Annuity Reserve Fund shall be discontinued
as of such date, the balance of the former Pension Reserve Fund shall be transferred to the
Pension Accumulation Fund, and the balance of the former Annuity Reserve Fund shall be transferred
to the Pension Accumulation Fund. (1) The Annuity Savings Fund shall be a fund in which shall
be accumulated contributions from the compensation of members to provide for their annuities.

Section 45-2-120.08 Personnel Appeals Board. (a) There shall be established the Baldwin County
Personnel Appeals Board. The board shall hear all appeals from final action as requested by
an affected employee. (b) The Baldwin County Personnel Appeals Board shall be composed of

Section 11-32-21 Employee protective provisions. (a) The rights, benefits, and other employee
protective conditions and remedies of Section 13(c) of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of
1964, as amended, 49 U.S.C. 1609(c), as determined by the Secretary of Labor, shall apply
to the operation by the authority of any public transportation service and to any contract
or other arrangement for the operation of such service. If the authority acquires an existing
transit system, the authority shall assume and observe all existing labor contracts and pension
obligations. All employees of the system except executive and administrative officers shall
be transferred to and appointed as employees of the authority, subject to all rights and benefits
