Section 12-18-152 (Effective November 8, 2016, subject to contingencies) Scope and application
of plan; contributions. (a) Every judge or clerk first elected or appointed to his or her
position on or after November 8, 2016 who is not a member of the Judicial Retirement Fund
or Clerks' and Registers' Supernumerary Fund on November 7, 2016 shall come under this article
by operation of law. The plan shall not include any judge or clerk who is a member of the
Judicial Retirement Fund or Clerks' and Registers' Supernumerary Fund prior to November 8,
2016, regardless of the type of judgeship position held. Each judge or clerk shall contribute
to the fund eight and one-half percent (8.5%) of his or her annual salary or base sum as provided

Section 38-9B-6 Rights and interests of life beneficiaries and contributors. (a) No life beneficiary
shall have any vested or property rights or interests in the AFT Trust, nor shall any life
beneficiary have the power to anticipate, assign, convey, alienate, or otherwise encumber

Section 45-37-123.106 Minimum distribution requirements. (a) General rules. (1) EFFECTIVE DATE.
Except as otherwise provided herein, the provisions of this section shall apply for purposes
of determining required minimum distributions for calendar years beginning on and after January

Section 45-8A-22.135 Amendment and termination. (a) Amendment of the Plan. (1) The retirement
board shall have the right at any time to amend the plan, subject to the limitations of this
section. Any such amendment must be consistent with this subpart, any other legislation relating
to the trust, and consistent with other authority granted to the retirement board. Additionally,
in the event that the Legislature amends this subpart or makes other statutory changes that

Section 36-27-6.5 Employers authorized to provide Tier I retirement benefits to Tier II plan

Section 45-37-123.132 Adjustments to annual benefit and limitations. (a) Adjustment if fewer
than 10 years. Effective for limitation years ending after December 31, 2001, if a member
