Section 45-37-120 Reimbursement for repairing or replacing clothing or equipment. (a)(1) This
section shall apply to any county having a population of 600,000 or more, according to the
1970 or any succeeding federal decennial census. (2) As herein used, these terms have the
meanings here given them: The county means any county subject to this section, and governing
body means the county commission or other governing body of the county. (b) When any county
officer's or county employee's clothing or equipment is damaged or destroyed while he or she
is engaged in the performance of his or her official duties and is acting within the line
and scope of his or her authority the county is authorized to reimburse such officer or employee,
to the extent provided for herein, for such damage to, or such loss of, his or her clothing

Section 45-42-120 Reimbursement for repairing or replacing clothing or equipment. (a) In Limestone
County, when any county officer's or county employee's clothing or equipment is damaged or
destroyed while he or she is engaged in the performance of his or her official duties and
is acting within the line and scope of his or her authority, the county is authorized to reimburse
