Section 15-20A-4 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) ADULT SEX OFFENDER. A person convicted of a sex offense. (2) CHILD. A person who has not attained the age of 12. (3) CHILDCARE FACILITY. A licensed child daycare center, a licensed childcare facility, or any other childcare service that is exempt from licensing pursuant to Section 38-7-3, if it is sufficiently conspicuous that a reasonable person should know or recognize its location or its address has been provided to local law enforcement. (4) CONVICTION. A verdict or finding of guilt as the result of a trial, a plea of guilty, a plea of nolo contendere, or an Alford plea regardless of whether adjudication was withheld. Section 45-27-120.08 Personnel board. (a) There may be created in Escambia County a personnel board. The personnel board shall be composed of not less than three persons nor more than seven persons, as established by the county commission. The board members shall be registered voters and residents of the county. Regardless of the number of board members, one member shall be appointed by the county commission as a whole and one member by the employees of the county. If the board has three members, the third member shall be selected collectively by the probate judge, sheriff, tax assessor, and tax collector. Section 45-34-82.07 Costs and fees. (a) An applicant shall be assessed a fee when the applicant is approved for the program. The amount of the assessment for participation in the program shall be in addition to any court costs and assessments for victims or drug, alcohol, or anger management treatment required by law, and are in addition to costs of supervision, treatment, and restitution for which the person may be responsible.
