Section 12-19-153 Imposition of court costs by municipal courts; collection of municipal court costs, fines, etc., by circuit court clerks upon appeals to circuit courts from municipal courts. (a) Municipal courts may impose court costs pursuant to law. (b) In cases of appeal de novo from a municipal court and conviction of the defendant in the circuit court, the clerk of the circuit court shall collect the municipal court costs, fines and forfeitures in addition to the municipal share of the docket fee in circuit court.
