Section 13A-9-150 Public assistance fraud; penalties. (a) For the purposes of this section,
public assistance means money or property provided directly or indirectly to eligible persons
through programs of the federal government, the state, or any political subdivision thereof,
including any program administered by a public housing authority. (b) It shall be unlawful
for an individual or business entity to knowingly do any of the following: (1) Fail, by false
statement, misrepresentation, impersonation, or other fraudulent means, to disclose a material
fact used in making a determination as to the qualification of the person to receive public
assistance. (2) Fail to disclose a change in circumstances in order to obtain or continue
to receive any public assistance to which he or she is not entitled or in an amount larger

Section 11-65-5 Composition of commission; terms; qualifications; removal from office. (a)
Every commission shall have five members, which shall constitute its governing body. All powers
of a commission shall be exercised by its members or pursuant to their authorization. The
mayor or other chief executive officer of the sponsoring municipality and the president or
other designated presiding officer of the county commission of the host county shall each
serve as a member ex officio, unless such official exercises his or her right, as provided

Section 25-4-10 Employment. (a) Subject to other provisions of this chapter, "employment"
means: (1) Any service performed prior to January 1, 1978, which was employment as defined

Section 36-25A-2 Definitions. As used in and for determining the applicability of this chapter,
the following words shall have the following meanings solely for the purposes of this chapter:

Section 45-5-141.20 Powers and duties; annual dues; board of trustees; referendum election.
(a) This section shall apply only in Blount County. (b) A district for the delivery of fire
and emergency medical services may be formed in any unincorporated area of the county pursuant

political activities to the same extent any citizen of Alabama may. This activity may include

Section 11-44E-162 Statement of campaign contributions. Each candidate for city office provided
for by this chapter shall, not later than 30 days after the election, file with the city clerk
his (her) sworn itemized statement in detail of each contribution received by him (her) or
any person or committee acting in his (her) behalf, specifying the amount of same, the full
name and address of the contributor, and each campaign-related expenditure in excess of $50.00,
