Section 45-37A-52.95 Powers and duties. The mayor shall be the head of the administrative branch
of the city government. The mayor shall not sit with the council nor shall he or she have
a vote in its proceedings and he or she shall have the power and duties herein conferred.
The mayor shall be responsible for the proper administration of all affairs of the city and,
subject to any civil service or merit system law applicable to such city and except as otherwise
provided herein, he or she shall have power and shall be required to: (1) Enforce all law

Section 34-27A-7 Application for licensure and examination; fees; pledge; conditions. (a) Applications
for original license, renewal license, and examinations shall be made in writing to the board

Section 25-4-78 Disqualifications for benefits. An individual shall be disqualified for total
or partial unemployment for any of the following: (1) LABOR DISPUTE IN PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT.
For any week in which an individual's total or partial unemployment is directly due to a labor
dispute still in active progress in the establishment in which he or she is or was last employed.
For the purposes of this section only, the term labor dispute includes any controversy concerning
terms, tenure, or conditions of employment, or concerning the association or representation
