Section 27-34-12 Preliminary certificate - Initial solicitations and qualifications. Upon receipt of a preliminary certificate from the commissioner, the society may solicit members for the purpose of completing its organization, shall collect from each applicant the amount of not less than one regular monthly premium in accordance with its table of rates as provided by its constitution and laws and shall issue to each such applicant a receipt for the amount so collected. (a) No person, firm or corporation shall operate a public hatchery, and no chick dealer or jobber shall operate within this state without first obtaining an annual permit from the state Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries to so operate. (a) A manufacturer, wholesaler, retailer, or other person who sells, transfers, manufactures, purchases for resale, or otherwise furnishes any listed precursor chemical defined in Section 20-2-181 must first obtain on a biennial basis a license issued by the Board of Pharmacy upon payment of a fee as prescribed by rule of the board to the secretary of the board.
