Section 45-49-40.02 County board of barber commissioners. (a) There is created a Barbers'
Commission for the County of Mobile. The Governor shall appoint three persons, each of whom,
immediately prior to the date of his or her appointment, has been a resident of the county
for the past three years, and who has had at least five years' experience as a barber; one
member to be appointed for a term of one year, one member to be appointed for a term of two
years, and one member to be appointed for a term of three years. In all counties to which
this part applies which have in existence at the time of the passage of this part, a barbers'
commission, the members of the commission then serving as such barbers' commission shall constitute

Section 37-11A-1 Execution and text of compact. The Governor, on behalf of this state,
shall execute a compact, in substantially the following form, with the State of Mississippi,
and the Legislature approves and ratifies the compact in the form substantially as follows:

Section 39-2-12 Partial and final payments of contractors by awarding authorities. (a)
As used in this section the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to them
as follows: (1) CONTRACTOR. Any natural person, partnership, company, firm, corporation, association,
limited liability company, cooperative, or other legal entity licensed by the Alabama State
Licensing Board for General Contractors. (2) NONRESIDENT CONTRACTOR. A contractor which is

Section 11-4-22 Bonds. Before entering on the duties of his office, the county treasurer
must give bond as provided by law, which bond shall be in a sum not less than $15,000.00,
and in counties where the population is over 150,000, it shall not be less than $50,000.00,

Section 45-49-71.04 Levy and collection of additional privilege license taxes, excise
taxes, and sales and use taxes. (a) Subject to any limitation of the Constitution of Alabama
of 1901, or of any general law of this state, the Mobile County Commission or other like governing
body shall have the power to levy and collect additional privilege license taxes, excise taxes,
and sales and use taxes. The revenue from any of the taxes authorized above shall be deposited
into the county treasury to be used in the manner prescribed by the county commission. (b)
Any such additional tax levied by the governing body shall become law either with or without
a referendum in the sole discretion of the governing body. In the event the county commission

imposed by this subpart, the judge of probate shall execute an additional bond in such penal
sum as may be prescribed by the governing body of the county, giving as surety thereon a bonding

Section 45-49-151.01 Qualifications of members. (a) The members of the commission shall
be qualified electors not less than 19 years of age, who shall have resided in the county
for the period of five years next preceding their appointment. Each commissioner shall take
