Section 31-10-3 Tuition reimbursement authorized for eligible members of National Guard. Subject to the annual appropriation in the annual Education Trust Fund Appropriation Act, provided such annual appropriations shall not exceed $10,000,000, the Alabama Commission on Higher Education is hereby authorized to pay or reimburse the qualifying tuition for any active member of the Alabama National Guard who is enrolled in a program leading to the associate, baccalaureate, masters, or doctorate degree in an accredited institution of higher learning, community or technical college within the State of Alabama. (a) Retroactive to January 1, 1992, the Coroner of Marengo County, Alabama, shall be entitled to receive an expense allowance in the amount of four hundred dollars ($400) per month, to be paid in equal monthly installments from the county general fund. Section 11-3-4 Reimbursement of travel expenses of commissioners. Each member of the county commission, including the judge of probate when he or she serves as chair of the county commission shall be entitled to reimbursement of all actual travel expenses, other than mileage, and mileage at the mileage rate allowed by the Internal Revenue Code for income tax deduction while traveling in his or her personal vehicle within or outside of the county, in performing the duties of the office of county commissioner.
