Section 45-21-242.14 Payment of taxes herein levied; reports by taxpayers. All taxes
levied in this part shall be paid to and collected by the State Department of Revenue at the
same time and in the same manner as state sales and use taxes are paid. On or prior to the
due dates of the tax herein levied each person subject to such tax shall file with the State
Department of Revenue a report or return in such form as may be prescribed by the department,
setting forth, with respect to all sales and business transactions that are required to be
used as a measure of the tax levied, a correct statement of the gross proceeds of all such
sales and gross receipts of all such business transactions. Such report shall also include
such other items of information pertinent to the tax and the amount thereof as the State Department
of Revenue may require. Any person subject to the tax levied may defer reporting credit sales

Section 45-3-245 Levy of tax; collection and enforcement; disposition of funds. (a)
This section shall only apply to Barbour County. (b) As used in this section,
state sales and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes including,

shall apply only to Lee County in those areas outside the corporate limits of the Cities of
Auburn, Opelika, and Phenix City. (b) In order to provide funds for the benefit of Lee County,

Section 45-28-244 Taxes authorized. (a) The Etowah County Commission is hereby authorized
and empowered to levy either a county gasoline tax that would remain in effect indefinitely
in all areas of the county in an amount not to exceed two cents ($0.02) per gallon on gasoline
and motor fuel and substitutes therefor or to levy a one cent ($0.01) county sales and use
tax in all areas of the county that would only be in effect from its date of imposition until
December 31, 1995, at which time such sales and use tax would expire and no longer be in effect.

Section 45-5-243 Power to levy; disposition of proceeds. (a) Subject to any limitation
of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, or of any general law of this state, the Blount County
Commission shall have the power to levy and provide for the collection of additional privilege
license taxes, excise taxes, gasoline taxes, and sales and use taxes. The proceeds from any

other entity, shall charge Marengo County for collecting the tax levied under this subpart
in an amount or percentage of total collections as may be agreed upon by the commissioner,
