Section 22-32-1 Enactment of Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Compact. The Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Compact is hereby enacted into law and entered into by the State of Alabama with any and all states legally joining therein in accordance with its terms, in the form substantially as follows: SOUTHEAST INTERSTATE LOW-LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT COMPACT Article I. Policy and Purpose There is hereby created the Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Compact. The party states recognize and declare that each state is responsible for providing for the availability of capacity either within or outside the state for the disposal of low-level radioactive waste generated within its borders, except for waste generated as a result of defense activities of the federal government or federal research and development activities. Section 45-44-150.12 Tax due parimutuel pools; distribution of contributions. Every licensee conducting a race meeting under this part shall pay to the treasurer of the racing commission on a quarterly basis, a tax equal to four percent of the total contributions to all parimutuel pools made at the track. The total take out by a licensee on any parimutuel pool shall be 18 percent. After deducting four percent for the racing commission and 14 percent for the licensee, the remainder of the total contributions to each pool shall be divided among and redistributed to the contributors to such pools betting on the winning dogs. The amount of each redistribution for each winning bet placed shall be determined by dividing the total amount remaining in the pool after the deductions hereinabove provided for by the number of bets placed on the winning dogs.
