Section 11-50B-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have
the following meanings: (1) ADVANCED TELECOMMUNICATIONS CAPABILITY. Without regard to any

Section 22-30E-3 Definitions. Unless otherwise defined in this chapter, the definition
of all terms included in Section 22-30-3 shall be applicable to this chapter. Other
definitions as necessary may be promulgated as regulations by the department for further implementation

Section 23-1-352 Definitions. For the purpose of the laws of this state relating to
aeronautics, the following words, terms, and phrases shall have the meanings herein given,

Section 31-13-29 Limitations on public records transactions conducted by unauthorized
aliens. (a) For the purposes of this section, public records transaction means applying
for or renewing a motor vehicle license plate, applying for or renewing a driver's license
or nondriver identification card, applying for or renewing a business license, applying for

Section 40-12-248 License taxes and registration fees - Trucks or truck tractors - Generally.
(a) For each truck or truck tractor using the public highways of this state, annual license
taxes and registration fees based on the gross vehicle weight in pounds are imposed and shall
be charged. For the purposes of this section, the term "gross vehicle weight"
shall mean the empty weight of the truck or truck tractor plus the heaviest load to be carried
and, in the case of combinations, shall be deemed to include also the empty weight of the
heaviest trailer with which the power unit shall be placed in combination, plus the heaviest
load to be carried. No tolerance or margin of error shall be allowable under this section,

(a) For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
(1) ACADV. The Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence. (2) DIRECTOR. The Director of
the Department of Economic and Community Affairs. (3) OTHER QUALIFIED ENTITY. An entity designated
by the director to fulfill the duties of the ACADV in the event the ACADV ceases operations
