Section 45-44-244.30 Definitions. As used in this subpart, the following words shall have the
following meanings: (1) COUNTY. Macon County. (2) EMPLOYEE. Any person engaging in or following
any trade, occupation, or profession within the meaning of subdivision (8). (3) EMPLOYER.
Any person, business, firm, corporation, partnership, association, or any other organization
that employs any person in any trade, occupation, or profession in the county within the meaning
of subdivision (8). (4) GROSS RECEIPTS and COMPENSATION. The total gross amount of all salaries,

Section 45-8A-71.08 Civil service board - Rules and regulations; powers and duties. (a) The
board may make rules and regulations governing examinations, eligible registers, appointments,
transfers, minimum and maximum salaries, promotions, demotions, annual and sick leave, and
merit raises. Any action taken by the board affecting a rule or regulation relating to transfers,
minimum and maximum salaries, promotions, demotions, annual leave, sick leave, and other matters
as may be necessary to accomplish the purposes of this part, is subject to the consent of
the governing body. If any merit raise has been denied or demotion has been recommended by
the appointing authority, the employee has 10 working days to contest the denial or demotion

Section 26-2A-152 Powers of conservator in administration. (a) Subject to limitation provided
in Section 26-2A-154, a conservator shall have all of the powers conferred in this section
and any additional powers now or hereafter conferred by law on trustees in this state. In
addition, a conservator of the estate of an unmarried minor as to whom no one has parental
rights, has the powers of a guardian of a minor described in Section 26-2A-78 until the minor
attains the age of 19 years, or the disabilities of nonage have been removed, but the parental

Section 45-37-123.01 Definitions. For the purposes of this part, the following terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) ACT. The act adding this part, to be called the General Retirement

Section 45-35A-51.07 Personnel board. (a) The personnel board shall consist of five members
and they and their successors in office shall be elected or appointed by the citizens supervisory

911 Board comprised of 13 members that shall reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural,
