Section 40-18-402 Renewal of Alabama Commission. (a) There is hereby created the Renewal of Alabama Commission. (b) The commission shall be comprised of all of the following persons: (1) The Director of Finance, or his or her designee. (2) The Secretary of Commerce, or his or her designee. (3) The Chair of the House Ways and Means Education Committee, or its successor committee, if any, or his or her designee. (4) The Chair of the Senate Finance and Taxation Education Committee, or its successor committee, if any, or his or her designee. (a) The rights, benefits, and other employee protective conditions and remedies of Section 13(c) of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, 49 U.S.C. 1609(c), as determined by the Secretary of Labor, shall apply to the operation by the authority of any public transportation service and to any contract or other arrangement for the operation of such service.
