Section 11-49B-23 Repeal of conflicting laws; transfer of funds; assumption of assets and liabilities. (a) On the first day of the second month following the election as called by the county commission at which a majority of the votes cast at the election are affirmative votes, as provided in this chapter, all laws or parts of laws which conflict with this chapter are repealed, and specifically Act 993, H. 1089, 1971 Regular Session (Acts 1971, p. 1787), as amended, is repealed.
