Section 45-37-73.01 Regulation of credit card payments. (a) This section shall
apply to any subject county of the State of Alabama having a population of 500,000 or more
according to the last or any subsequent federal census, and to no other county. (b)(1) Notwithstanding
any other provision of law to the contrary, any officer or unit of the county government required
or authorized to receive or collect any payments to state or county government may, but is
not required to, accept a credit card payment of the amount. (2) This section shall
be broadly construed to authorize acceptance of credit card payments by: a. All departments,
agencies, boards, bureaus, commissions, authorities and other units of county government.
b. All officers, officials, employees, and agents of the county units of county government.

provider furnishing cable service or telecommunications service in the exercise of authority
granted under the provisions of this chapter shall maintain books and records of its operations

Section 31-9-87 Alabama Statewide Emergency Notification System Fund. (a) Funds shall
be appropriated by the Legislature to the Alabama Statewide Emergency Notification System
Fund within the recovery fund for the purposes of establishing, implementing, maintaining,
and operating the system, and, thereafter, shall be appropriated annually by the Legislature
for continuous maintenance and operation of the system. Funding for the system may also be
derived from gifts, federal grants, other appropriations from the Legislature, fees and contributions
from users, or any other sources permitted by law. Any disbursement from the Alabama Statewide
Emergency Notification System Fund shall be authorized in advance by the committee. (b) Within

funds. (a) For the purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the following
meanings: (1) FEDERAL RECEIPTS. Federal financial assistance received or administered from
