Section 45-13-81 Compensation; office space, personnel, equipment; chief clerk. (a) The Probate Judge of Clarke County shall be entitled to receive total compensation in the form of an annual salary in the amount of forty-seven thousand five hundred dollars ($47,500) per annum. Such salary shall be paid in lieu of all other fees, allowances, and percentages heretofore provided by law, and shall be paid in equal biweekly installments out of the general fund of the county as county employees are paid. (b) All fees, commissions, allowances, percentages, and other charges heretofore collected for the use of the judge of probate, hereafter shall be collected and paid into the general fund of the county. (a) The Legislature finds and declares the following: (1) In Chambers County there has been an increase in the filing of cases involving mental health involuntary commitments resulting in increased probate court docket filing and other duties prescribed by the courts and the Legislature.
