Section 26-16-9 Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board - Disbursement generally. (a) The
state board may authorize the disbursement of available money from the trust fund exclusively
for the following purposes, which are listed in the order of preference for expenditure: (1)
To fund a private nonprofit or public organization in the development or operation of a program
if at least all of the following conditions are met: a. The appropriate local council has
reviewed the program. This paragraph does not apply if a local council does not exist for
the geographic area to be served by the program. b. The organization demonstrates an ability
to match, through money or in-kind services, 50 percent of the amount of any trust fund money
received. Not more than 50 percent of the local match shall be in in-kind services. In-kind

Section 45-39-70 Election of chair; term; salary; duties. (a) This section shall apply only
in Lauderdale County. (b)(1) Effective beginning the next general election for the election
of the Lauderdale County Commission, the Chair of the Lauderdale County Commission shall be
elected on a countywide basis. The chair shall take office at the same time as members of
the Lauderdale County Commission take office and shall serve a four-year term, or until a
successor is elected and qualified. The chair shall preside over meetings of the county commission
and shall vote only in the case of tie vote of the commissioners. After the election of the

and authority granted to Lawrence County pursuant to Amendment 190 to the Constitution of

Section 10A-20-7.02 Incorporation. (a) Five or more financial institutions or persons, a majority
of whom shall be residents of this state, who may desire to create an industrial development
corporation under the provisions of this article for the purpose of promoting, developing,

Section 41-9-984 Corporation. (a) The commission may create a not-for-profit corporation to
raise funds, and to develop, implement, and manage the plans and programs of the commission.
(b) The commission may select a name for the corporation. The corporation shall have its own
