Section 6-5-340 Computer failure or malfunction. (a) Whenever used in this section, the following words and terms shall have the following meanings: (1) GOVERNMENTAL CORPORATION AND AUTHORITY. (a) It shall be unlawful for the commission or any member thereof to purchase or vote to purchase any property or enter into a contract for any work at a purchase price or contract price greater than two thousand dollars ($2,000) with the costs thereof to become due or to be paid after the expiration of the term of the office of the commissioners serving at the time the purchase is made, vote taken, or contract entered into.
