Section 45-8-82.20 District Attorney's Fund. (a) The District Attorney for the Seventh Judicial
Circuit shall maintain and keep a special fund known as the District Attorney's Fund. Any
funds on deposit in the treasuries of the counties in the circuit that generally would be
designated for appropriation to the District Attorney's Fund shall be transferred to the office
of the district attorney to be deposited and maintained in the District Attorney's Fund. (b)
All fees taxed as costs and collected in all criminal cases heretofore paid to the respective
county treasury in the circuit, for the District Attorney's Fund, shall be paid directly to
the district attorney for deposit into the District Attorney's Fund. All other fees including,
but not limited to, fees collected by the Worthless Check Unit and fees collected by forfeiture

Section 45-45-82.01 District attorney's fee. (a) In all cases in the municipal, juvenile, district,
and circuit courts in Madison County and the Twenty-third Judicial Circuit, a docket fee,
hereinafter referred to as a district attorney's fee, shall be assessed in each case. The
fees, when collected, shall be distributed monthly to the District Attorney's Fund in the
county or to the fund that may be hereafter prescribed by law for the district attorney's

Section 45-2-82.42 County salary supplement - Circuit judges and district attorney. (a) It
has come to the attention of the Legislature that the present compensation of the circuit
judges and District Attorney for the Twenty-eighth Judicial Circuit is somewhat below the
average of that being paid to circuit judges and district attorneys in other judicial circuits
in this state which have considerably lighter caseloads than the Twenty-eighth Judicial Circuit.

or judicial circuit, which may be known as the Citizens Justice Advisory Board for Pretrial
