Section 45-29-242 Levy of tax. (a) There is hereby levied and imposed in the county, in addition
to all other taxes of every kind now imposed by law, a privilege or license tax on the sale
of any automotive vehicle, truck trailer, semitrailer, and house trailer required to be registered
or licensed with the Fayette County Judge of Probate and purchased other than at wholesale
in the county from any person, firm, or corporation which is not a licensed dealer engaged
in selling automotive vehicles, truck trailers, semitrailers, or house trailers an amount

following powers, together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge

Section 45-29-140 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words and phrases shall
have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
(1) AUTHORITY. The Fayette County Water Coordinating and Fire Prevention Authority, a public

Section 45-29-140.01 Legislative intent. This article is intended to aid the state and county
in the execution of its duties by providing an appropriate and independent instrumentality
of the state and of the county with full and adequate powers to fulfill its functions. It

Section 45-38-141.02 Incorporation of authority. (a) Within 45 days after May 4, 1989, or the
passage and approval of a constitutional amendment authorizing the creation of the authority,
three applicants shall be appointed to proceed to incorporate the Lamar County Water Coordinating

Section 45-14-244.07 Disposition of funds. (a) The proceeds from the tobacco tax authorized
in Clay County pursuant to Section 45-14-244, and as further provided for in Sections 45-14-244.01
