Section 45-35-83.22 Probate transaction fee. (a)(1) The judge of probate shall collect a probate
transaction fee in the amount of five dollars ($5) for each probate transaction that involves
probate court, recording, licenses, or tags. (2) The probate transaction fee may not apply
to tag transfers and replacement transactions. (3) The probate transaction fee shall be in
addition to any other fees authorized by law. (b) The probate transaction fees collected shall
be distributed as follows: (1) One dollar ($1) of each five dollar ($5) fee shall be paid
into a special fund to be used for the operation of the office of the judge of probate. (2)
One dollar ($1) of each five dollar ($5) fee shall be paid into a special fund to be used
for the operation of the office of the sheriff. (3) The remainder of the proceeds from the

Section 40-22-7 Tax upon recording transfer of instrument recorded by exempt institution -
Certification of payment of tax. Upon the filing for record of a transfer under Section 40-22-6
and upon payment of such tax and recording fees, the probate judge or his clerk shall certify

Section 45-2-220.02 Department of Archives and History established; fees and costs. (a) The
Legislature hereby establishes the Baldwin County Department of Archives and History to facilitate
the preservation, conservation, and accessibility of the records of Baldwin County through

Section 45-49-85 Indexing system. (a) The following words, phrases, and terms including the
plural of any thereof, whenever used in this section, shall have the following respective

Section 15-13-156 Filing of lien in default cases - Release. (a) Clerks of all courts of the
state and its subdivisions may file the "lien and affidavit" form in the probate
court of the county where the property is located immediately after a final forfeiture is
ordered by any court of the State of Alabama or its subdivisions. The probate court shall
file and record it in its real property recordings and there shall be no charge to the city

deed or will, or otherwise, whether general or special, other than a power in trust which
