Section 16-26A-4 Board of directors generally. (a) There is hereby created a board of directors for the school, sometimes hereinafter referred to as the "board." (a) A disqualified person may not acquire or hold an interest in a horse racing facility licensee or an operator. (a) Within 18 months from the time metropolitan-government is placed in effect, the respective school boards of the city and the county shall plan for and implement a metropolitan-government school district which effects the merger of the two existing districts in accordance with existing procedure in Alabama statutes for such mergers.
