Commission may appropriate and expend county funds for expenses necessary for the operation
of the office of the coroner in the county. Expenses may include, but are not limited to,
computers, telephone service, equipment, supplies, office space, and any other expenses approved
by the county commission. The county commission may provide the coroner and his or her deputy
with expenses for the operation of a motor vehicle or may furnish the coroner with the use
of a county vehicle. (b) The county commission may authorize the coroner to appoint one or
more deputy coroners to perform the duties of the coroner in the absence of the coroner and

and thereafter, the only requirement for a marriage in this state shall be for parties who
are otherwise legally authorized to be married to enter into a marriage as provided in this
section. However, the judge of probate shall continue to collect the recording fee provided
for in subdivision (32) of subsection (b) of Section 12-19-90 for each marriage recorded with
the judge of probate. Furthermore, at the time the marriage is recorded, the judge of probate

or other legal entity who engages in any act or practice that violates this article is liable
for a civil penalty of up to fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for each violation. (b) Any
person, corporation, or other legal entity who violates the terms of an injunction or order
issued under this article shall forfeit and pay a civil penalty of not more than seventy-five
thousand dollars ($75,000) per violation and shall be adjudged in contempt. For the purpose
of this section, any court issuing an injunction or order under this article shall retain
jurisdiction, and in such cases the Attorney General may petition for recovery of civil penalties.

highest bidder all abandoned or stolen personal property, other than firearms, which has been
recovered by the sheriff's office and has remained unclaimed by the rightful owner for a six-month
period. (b) Prior to the sale, notice shall be given by publication in a newspaper of general
circulation in Cherokee County once a week for two successive weeks or by posting notice in
a conspicuous place at the Cherokee County Courthouse and by posting on the sheriff's office
website for a period of at least 20 days. The notice shall contain the place, date, and time
