Section 45-25-250.03 Board of directors. The board of directors shall consist of seven
directors that shall be appointed by the members of the state Legislature that represent all
or any portion of DeKalb County for terms of four years. Provided, however, that initial appointments,
as designated by the appointing authority, shall be made so that two directors shall serve
for two years, two directors for three years, and three directors for four years, so that
the terms of the directors are staggered. All directors shall serve until their successors
are appointed and assume office. As soon as may be practicable after the organization of the
authority, an election shall be held by the board of directors to elect a chair, vice chair,
and a secretary-treasurer. Every two years thereafter, the board shall likewise reorganize

Section 11-98-4.1 Board created; composition; powers and duties. (a) There is created
a statewide 911 Board comprised of 13 members that shall reflect the racial, gender, geographic,
urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. All appointing authorities shall coordinate
their appointments so that diversity of gender, race, and geographical areas is reflective

Section 45-8A-71.08 Civil service board - Rules and regulations; powers and duties.
(a) The board may make rules and regulations governing examinations, eligible registers, appointments,
transfers, minimum and maximum salaries, promotions, demotions, annual and sick leave, and
merit raises. Any action taken by the board affecting a rule or regulation relating to transfers,

Section 45-17A-50.06 Vacancies; appointments; eligibility lists. (a) All covered vacancies,
except for heads of departments, shall be filled by the civil service board. The mayor shall
notify the board when a vacancy exists. (b) The board shall make and keep sufficient lists

Section 45-17A-83.01 Revision of board. (a) On June 14, 2007, the board shall be composed
of three directors, each of whom shall be a resident and qualified elector of the City of
Tuscumbia. Employees, officers, present city council members, and past city council members
